infinite_zoom

These are made using the new 'zoom out' function in Midjourney. Since any generated image can be used as the center point for a new one, and the imagery around it can be prompted separately from the original, it's basically possible to create an infinite zoom-out effect (and probably a zoom-in with some sleight-of-hand). I'm really impressed with how well it is able to maintain the same style of the original image, and how flexibly it can adapt to the new prompts.

imagery generated in midjourney (10 iterations of 2x zoom, upscaled to 4k via clipdrop). audio generated via waveformer. video created in after effects by stacking all ten images, zooming out via exponential scaling and adding a mask around the outside edge of images to allow them to blend more smoothly. The results are pretty cool, essentially a 40,000x40,000px image that's actually viewable :)
